MAJORS PICK UP THE 17TH OVERALL SELECTION IN TODAY’S IMPORT DRAFT

The Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors and Saginaw Spirit swapped draft picks giving the Majors two top 20 picks in today’s CHL Import Draft.
The Majors have sent Saginaw their 4th round pick in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection, a 5th round pick in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection (originally from Kitchener) and their 3rd round pick in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection. In return, the Majors receive a first round selection from the Spirit (which was originally Niagara’s pick) in today’s CHL Import Draft.
The move means that the Majors will be selecting 14th and17th overall in today’s CHL Import Draft. The Majors also have the 107th overall selection in the draft.
