ROB FLICK GOES TO THE DEFENDING STANLEY CUP CHAMPS IN ROUND 4

Majors forward Rob Flick has been selected by the defending Stanley Cup Champions, the Chicago Blackhawks, in the fourth round of today’s NHL Entry Draft.



Flick was drafted by the Majors in the fifth round of the 2007 OHL Priority Selection.



Rob cracked the Majors roster for the 2008-09 season and never looked back. In 48 games during his rookie season the London, ON native chipped in offensively with 4 goals and 4 assists for 8 points. The gritty forwards toughness really made him stand out. He also served 69 penalty minutes in his rookie season.



This past year, Flick’s offensive numbers really picked up. In 65 games he had 15 goals and 19 assists for 34 points while racking up 157 penalty minutes. His production carried on through the playoffs as he helped the Majors to series wins over Peterborough and Ottawa, before the Majors fell to Barrie in the Eastern Conference Final.
