MAJORS OFFICIALLY LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS FOR THE 2011 MASTERCARD MEMORIAL CUP
This Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors are officially accepting applications from potential volunteers to work at the Hershey Centre when Mississauga hosts the 2011 Mastercard Memorial Cup. Over 800 volunteers were used at the 2010 Mastercard Memorial Cup in Brandon and the Mississauga Host Organizing Committee expects they will require over 1000 volunteers for next years event.
Candidates must be 16 years of age or older and must be prepared to dedicate a minimum of 30 hours throughout the event. Volunteers will be required from May 16 through May 30 and some will also be needed leading up to the event. Successful candidates will work shifts from 4-6 hours between 8:00 AM and 12:00 AM depending on the department (subject to change). Only a limited number of volunteer positions will have access to the arena during games and specific volunteer positions will require specific skills and abilities. Each volunteer chosen to work the event will be issued a uniform by the host committee.

The 2011 MasterCard Memorial Cup will take place from May 20-29 with all games being played at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga.
